Faith

Lesson 9: Faith

Hello and welcome to my Little House of Prayer bible study. Today, I’d like to talk about faith. I had 2 other messages prepared for you. But, This is the 3rd one and He told me I needed to give this one to you. In a very funny way. So, I hope you are helped by this message today. In today’s society fear, doubt, and unbelief are screaming in a high pitch voice. They are trying to drown out the truth of God’s word with the manufactured facts of the enemy. I know that if I am tired of watching them do this and win with the Lord’s creation. How much more so is He.

               You know, I went and looked up what the opposite of fear, doubt, and unbelief were. I figured you would enjoy knowing what they were. This helps us to cooperate with the Word of God better. I no any war vet, warrior will tell you. The only way to defeat your enemy is to know who he is. To know how he thinks. And what is his total end game or plan for the attack? The apostle Paul tells us how to prepare for the battle in Ephesians 6:10-18 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

What are the last 2 pieces of the armor of God? The sheild of Faith and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Wait? I thought we were talking about faith. We are. It takes faith to walk this walk. This walk and your faith are what the enemy wants to attack. What are the weapons he favors most? The spirit of fear ( 2 Timothy 1:7 ) with doubt and unbelief. The opposite of fear is calmness, confidence. The opposite of doubt is certainty, conviction, and confidence. The opposite of unbelief is belief (obviously) and FAITH.

So, how do we war against the spirit of fear? The word of God. Remember Ephesians 6: 16 and 17. And  2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. What?! Do you see that?! Power, love, and a sound mind. So, if we are walking in faith, we are walking in power, love, and a sound mind. Are you beginning to see a trend here? The enemy wants to distract you. Catch you off guard. How easier than to scream his fear antics to get you into doubt and unbelief. Please know that I am making light of this. Fear is real! The facts are real. But, according to the Word of God, facts change. The Truth will never change. John 14:6-11  6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

                               You are not going to believe this. Then, maybe you will. But, just as I was pasting this scripture, the song “We Believe” by the News Boys,  just came on. I love His confirmation. Confirmation that He wants you to know this. To get it good and in your spirit. So, you can fight. So, you don’t have to accept the lies of the enemy. If he can get in your head, if you allow him to have your thoughts, He’s pretty much won the battle. The main objective is not to let him in your head. Not to let him have your thoughts. That is what the helmet of salvation is for. To protect your mind. How? By the thoughts of your Savior and Lord. Satan and Christ cannot be in your thoughts at the same time. The mind can only focus on one thing at a time. What about multitasking. You may have many tasks going simultaneously. But, your mind can only focus on one thing at a time. So, our focus needs to be on the Lord Jesus Christ. It needs to be on the things of God. 2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Hebrews 11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

So, how do we get out of fear? Get into faith. How do we get into faith? Get in the Word of God. The bible. His words encourage and build us up. It provides calmness. He is our confidence. These are the opposite of fear.  1 John 5:14-15  14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

How do we get out of doubt? READ OUR HOLY BIBLE!!!!!! He gave us His Word. To lead and guide us into all Truth. We can walk in His confidence. 1 John 5:14-15  14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Proverbs 22:20-21 20 Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, 21 That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?

How do we get victory over our unbelief? Why don’t we do like Thomas did? Why don’t we take our unbelief to Jesus who can help us?John 20:24-31  24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.  28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. 30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. Another earlier example.

Mark 9:23-24 23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. 24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

You see, the Lord is not shocked. He wants us to come to Him in Faith. The calmness, conviction, certainty, belief, and FAITH. Bring everything to Him. I mean everything. Your joys, your tears, your failures and flaws, your sins. He wants everything. So, that you can have LIFE and Life more abundantly.

Hebrews 11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. You know, when you think about it, it takes faith to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. It takes faith to believe and act out the word of God, the bible. It takes faith to tell your friends about this loving Savior who changed your life. It takes faith to believe in an afterlife of Heaven and Hell.

Has God ever called you to believe Him for something that was so far out there that it was what I like to call crazy faith. Did He come through? I have countless testimonies that required crazy faith. How about a report of a cancer that the doctors said couldn’t be cured. Or, it was caught too late. I have friends I believed God with. Let me tell you the enemy had all kinds of reports to get them out calling things that were not as though they were. When you get a voice that comes against your stand, you are victory ground! Hallelujah! Oh, and watch Him vindicate you in the meantime. I feel so sorry for those who speak against God’s truth in ignorance. The best you can do is pray for the Lord’s mercy.

I was working with a crew. At the time, I was fasting and praying for the Lord’s restoration of my first marriage and for a friend's marriage also.  Well one of the workers came up to me and told me how desperately stupid and naive I was to believe for something that would never happen. Along with a barrage of insults.  Well the next morning, I got to work and she was in a pile of tears. That afternoon, when she got home, all the locks had been changed to her home and all of her things were outside waiting for her. I was speechless. I felt sorry for her. I prayed for her. My believer friends were jumping up and down rejoicing over the Lord’s immediate judgment. I tried to explain that they were wrong. They were dumb founded at my response. Which was to run to my office and pray for her. God eventually restored both mine and my friend's marriage.

Why did I tell this testimony? Because, when someone is going through something. They are using crazy faith to believe God for something. We are to choose our thoughts and words very carefully. And if you really want to help them, come alongside and believe with them. You don’t know what they are fighting to believe in God. And, for those who are believing for the impossible. Facts will change. But, the TRUTH, His Truth will remain forever and ever.

Faith also brings a test. How can you have a testimony without a test?  I had 4 years of testing when I believed in the Lord for my home. Especially, when He said that He would finish all of it. Here is the progress of crazy faith.

1.   The Arrival               2- 5: The constant occupying until He arrived

                                                               with the manifestation

4-5 : Look what the Lord has done!!!!!!

If you have tuned into the other blogs, podcasts, or my bible study on Facebook, you know what a trial I went through. My walk makes people scratch their heads. I am peculiar. That is because He has called me to be that way. A misfit for Him. I’m o.k. with that.

I waited 4 years for my house to be complete. I have been waiting for something far greater since 1995 and 1997. In 1995, I was in prayer. I saw a field so ready to harvest. In the outskirts of the field were wheelbarrows. There were children playing. They would pile up in the wheelbarrow. As many as could fit in them. Then, the bigger kids would push them around. They were all full of joy, squealing 2,4,6,8, God is great. Then in 1997, I was leading a sunday school class. I had a few children. They were from 2-13 years old. I had them form a circle and we joined hands to pray. Everyone was quiet. I looked up to ask for prayer requests. There was this little child, all of 2 years old, she began to sway. But, she didn’t seem right. I asked if she was o.k. Her reply shocked me. To the core. “I don’t know sister Dayla. But, the spirit of the Lord is all over me. And, He told me to tell you you are blessed.” My jaw was on the floor. She went on to say some more. But, I was in shock. I didn’t know where to put myself. I kept saying, “ A 2 year old child, Lord? Really?” Well, I still asked if there were any prayer requests. There wasn’t any. So, we said amen to the word of the Lord and went on with our Sunday school lesson for the day.

I got home. Went to eat a bowl of chili. I sat down at the table and dipped my spoon in the chili . As I was bringing the spoon up to my mouth to test the temperature. I heard the Lord say, “If you thought that was something, hold on to your britches. Your children will prophesy and dream dreams. They will have visions. They will walk under my anointing. In 2004, I was dancing in the back of the church. The children came to meet me and began to dance also. He again said, “That’s right. Let them play with my holy things. As they play with my holy things, the anointing with it will begin to fall on them.

I am still waiting for all this to come to pass. Crazy faith. Occupying until the visions and promises show up. Why did I share this? Because I want to encourage you. Encourage you to join me in prayer as we wait on the Lord. Wait for the Lord to touch our children. Grown and not grown. Wait for Him to use them mightily for His Name Sake. Will you believe God with me? Will you also have your own crazy faith? Things that the Lord has promised you will come to pass in your life? Let’s believe God together.

If you do not know Christ as your savior and Lord. Let’s use  crazy faith. Let me introduce you to Him. It’s o.k. To ask Him to be real to you. I want to pray with you right now. Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and for answering my prayer. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Let me be the first to welcome you to the body of Christ. All of heaven is rejoicing right now. Get a bible translation you will read. It is a life and death issue for your spiritual well being. The bible tells you who Jesus is and what He expects of you.  Find a church with a pastor that preaches the uncompromising truth. Sit under him for at least a year. That is so you can learn and grow.

I am so glad you could join me today at My Little House of Prayer. I Hope you will join me next week.

Have No Fear

   Have No Fear

Hello and welcome to My Little House of Prayer Ministry. Hoping all is well with you. I don’t know about you, but in this day and time, fear is knocking on the door of our hearts on every side. The chaos and

discouragement are hand in hand with it, also. It’s soul design is to wear you out.  Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Doesn’t this sound like today. Our government is erasing history and changing laws. But, we have made a choice to remove the Lord from the equation of governing our great country. Our country was officially known as the land of milk and honey. Sound familiar? The Lord delivered the Isrealites from Egyptian control. Why? To take them to the mount of God to worship Him and then, to take them to the land of milk and honey. Canaan’s land. That is what America started out as. Our forefathers came to America with the intent of leaving British rule of England. What did the Lord say about the land of milk and honey? Deuteronomy 30:15-20 15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; 16 In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. 17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; 18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it. 19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: 20 That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

I love my country. I weep for my country. My dad is a Vietnam vet. He taught me about loving my great country. I tried to pass this down to my children. But, when the king is evil the people mourn. Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

Doesn’t this all sound like what we are going through today? My next question to you would be, are you a child of God? What are His promises to you? Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Zechariah 2:5 For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

Job 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

These are just some of the promises of what He will do for those who love Him and seek Him. I depend on His promises of divine protection. I anoint my home and property asking for warrior angels to surround my property. Well, one day, I was bringing Bella (a golden labrador) back home from across the street. Well, she looked up. When she did, she jumped backwards with stark fear in her eyes. She wanted to run in the opposite direction. When I would take her for her walk. She would walk as far away from the property line as she could. And, her fear would go only as far as the perimeter of the property. I had commanded warrior angels to stand guard and protect my property as well as Bella and I. Well I tried to explain to her they were there to protect us. That wasn’t quite getting through. So, then I prayed and asked the Lord for them to soften their gaze towards her. She was looking up when I prayed for that. All of the sudden, she looked at me as if to say, “Wow! Mom, they really are here for us.” She then no longer had the look of utter fear. And, bounced across the property line like she was all that and a bag of chips. Hahahahahaha

Do you remember the Y- 2 K scare? People were gathering armory, and hygiene products like nobody's business. Well, there were and are people I know who depend on the provision of the Lord. We are on a fixed income. His word says that a wise man prepares for calamity. So, I went before the Lord and prayed. “Father in Jesus’ mighty name. I don’t have the finances to prepare. Your word says that I am to prepare for calamity. But, I don’t have the finances, Lord. What can I do?” He then reminded me of when the 10 plagues hit Egypt. “ His response was this. “You are my child. I take great care of my own. The Isrealites are my chosen people. I protected them during the plagues. They had families in Egypt. They had friends in Egypt. Even though the plagues did not touch them physically, it did touch them emotionally. So, it will be in these days. If I protected my children then, I will protect them now. The best you can do for people is to pray for them. Intercede for them.”

Well, the Y-2K has come and gone without incident. But, the trials are not over. Everything we go through is to prepare us for the next battle. To build us up in our most Holy faith. That is what the journey through the wilderness was about. Building up their most Holy faith. The Lord is so good. Remember the 12 spies. 10 of them only had the report of the enemy. “We are but grasshoppers in the sight of them.” My english. “Dudes and Dudettes, they are some huge wooly boogers!” What did Joshua and Caleb reply? Numbers 13 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them. 3 And Moses by the commandment of the Lord sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel. 4 And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur. 5 Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori. 6 Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh. 7 Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph. 8 Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the son of Nun. 9 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu. 10 Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi. 11 Of the tribe of Joseph, namely, of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi. 12 Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli. 13 Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael. 14 Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi. 15 Of the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi. 16 These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua. 17 And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain: 18 And see the land, what it is, and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many; 19 And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or  bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds; 20 And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes. 21 So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath. 22 And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.) 23 And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs. 24 The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence. 25 And they returned from searching of the land after forty days. 26 And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land. 27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. 28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan. 30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. 31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. 32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. 33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.They only reported what the Lord originally reported. The Lord sent the 12 to spy out what they would be overcoming. 12 represents His governmental name. He is the king of kings and Lord of Lords. Hallelujah. He is righteous and just. 10 only saw the enemy’s evil report. He sent the 12 because He planned on being their commander and chief. He planned on putting His Holy Army in front of them. Remember the Lord’s Name went before and behind them. He was a continual fire before and behind them. He wanted to be God to them and like no other. He wanted to show them who He was and build up their Most Holy faith. Only 2 ignored the evil report and had full confidence in the only one who could save to the uttermost. They had full faith that if He was leading them, He would  most definitely  bring them through it.

The same message is for today. Stand in your Most Holy faith. Let Him be the Lord in your life. If He’s bringing you to it, He will bring you through it. 365 times the Lord says do not fear in the bible. There are 365 days in a year.  1 fear not for each day. John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

All through the bible, the Lord allows us to know what is to come. In our prayer time, He shows us things to come. We have visions and dreams of what is to come. We are in the end times. But, with each circumstance and situation brought before us, He is saying, “Be of good cheer. Build up your Most Holy faith. You are more than  a conqueror in Christ Jesus. You can do all things through Christ Jesus.”

Do you see what I see? I see, whose report will you believe? Mine, or his? We can be like the 10 who only believed the evil report. Or, we can be like the 2 who only believed in the strong, saving arm of the LORD.

2 Kings 6:16-18 16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. 18 And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

Elisha had a relationship with the Lord. He knew who He was in Him. He had a Caleb and Joshua spirit. That the Lord was more than able to save to the Uttermost.

So, if you do not have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. If you want to be more than a conqueror in His name, let me pray with you right now. Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Let’s take a moment to come broken before Him and call out our sins before him. Then, let’s thank Him for His forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and for answering my prayer. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Let me welcome you to the family of God. All of heaven is rejoicing right now over your decision. So, now my advice to you is to get into a church that preaches the uncompromising truth of God’s word. Sit under that pastor for at least a year or as long as he preaches the uncompromising truth of God’s word. I Cannot say this any clearer! READ YOUR BIBLE. Let the Lord lead you to the bible you will read. I prefer the King James or the New King James translation. It is vital to your spiritual life. It is a life and death issue. We are called to grow in the measure and stature of Jesus Christ. His word teaches us who He is to us. It teaches us what He expects of us.

You heard me say that we are to stir up our Most Holy Faith. Jude 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, 21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of  his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Jude talks about building ourselves up in our most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit. He is another gift from the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the power to walk this walk in these end times. He will give us staying power. He encourages and directs us. He bears witness to truth. It is a language only the Holy Spirit and the Lord understand. It is a love language between Him and the Father. He is known for giving us the interpretation. But, more than that He convicts of sin so that our relationship with the LORD can grow. If you have decided to accept this wonderful gift, please pray with me. prayer for the baptism of the  Holy Spirit

Lord Jesus, thank you so much for offering this wonderful gift to me. First, of salvation. Now, the precious Holy Spirit. I Accept your gift of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I praise your Holy Name and want to know you more. The Holy Spirit promises to help me know you more. Thank you Lord. In Jesus name amen.

Now, begin to praise and thank Him for it. Open your mouth by faith. Let the words roll out. You will feel a bubble in your stomach. Don’t be afraid. That is the rivers of water that Jesus talks about. Let it come out. You may just have one syllable to start. That’s o.k. As you pray that one syllable, He will cause that language to grow. Just remember to praise and thank the Lord for it. For those who don’t speak in tongues right away, quit focusing on the gift. Focus on the giver of the gift. When you do that long enough, you will begin to speak in tongues. Remember He loves you and wants you to make heaven your home more than you do. He loves you and so do I.

Thank you for joining me today at My Little House of Prayer. I hope you will join me again next week. Thank you and have a blessed week.

Forgiveness on Resurrection Sunday

Hello and welcome to My Little House of Prayer Bible Study. I am your host Dayla Smith. I wanted to teach on demonstrations since I taught about worship last week. But, the Lord told me to teach on this instead. Forgiveness. His words. It is Ressurection Sunday this Week. Hebrews 7:24-26 24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; I am seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding “Father, forgive them. For they know not what they do.”

You’ve heard me talk about how the Lord loves demonstrations. Well there is no greater demonstration than the arm of forgiveness. There is no greater miracle than forgiveness which then brings in the restoration of a relationship. It is how we are restored to Him who loved us first. It was the sole purpose of the crucifixion at Calvary’s Cross on Golgatha’s Hill. Isaiah 53 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Do you see how he responded? Only if you have truly forgiven someone, can you pray for them. This Sunday people will be celebrating Resurrection Sunday. What an appropriate topic for discussion. Forgiveness. How do we become children of God. We ask and receive His Forgiveness for our lives of sin. You see our sinful nature is the reason for his tortured death. Many of us have seen the passion. But, a lot of the torture Jesus went through couldn’t be written out. Remember the Roman soldiers were skilled torturers. And, need I say many of them took pride in their skill. It took a demented mind to be a Roman soldier. The bible does say this, in 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

If you have been hurt in any way, form, or fashion, He knows about it. Jesus, the man, also knows about being on the receiving end of someone’s abuse. The Christ knows what lies in the hearts of men. He knows their every thought and intention.

He was despised and rejected. Why? To redeem all who have experienced rejection and hate. To redeem all who have served rejection and hate. What?! That looks like 2 sides of a sword! It is. Remember, He said in Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. And in Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And who is the Word. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Whose the Word. Christ. He also brings a sword. Which is the Word of God. That can also be found in the full armor of God in Ephesians 6:8-10. When Jesus was temtped in the wilderness, He spoke the Word. He didn’t ponder the invitation of an easier way. He knew He had a mission. To redeem mankind. He was both God and man. Why? Because He had to show us that we can walk the crucified way. We could get the victory over the many sinful natures in our life. The Christ is who helped Jesus make it to Calvary. In ancient Hebrew, the true interpretation of  “Father please let this cup pass from me, but thine will not mine be done.” is “Father please don’t let me die here in this garden. I have to make it all the way.” Remember, He sent Jesus the man an angel of strength to carry Him the rest of the way. Jesus and the Christ were on a mission.

So, throughout His life He endured being hated and rejected. Have you gone through this on one side, or the other? I have. Why did He do this? Because, hate and rejection are not of Him. It is a sin. God is love according to 1 John 4:7-10 7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. So, the Word of God clearly says that if you are rejecting or hating, you are not a Christian. Rejection and hate are not in His plan for your life. You are in sin. Plain and simple. And, if you are on the receiving end of being hated and rejected, Forgive. Death, hate, and darkness only beget more death, hate, and darkness. That is how you obtain your deliverance from that. Your healing from that. You can walk in the confidence of the Lord. Knowing who you are to Him.

Have you experienced grief and sorrow? Our Lord walked in grief and sorrow. He was constantly despised and rejected by the very people He had come to redeem. Remember, He cried over Jerusalem, How I would gather you like a mother hen would her chicks, but you would  not. The times of doubt and unbelief. Have you lost someone dear to you. Or, maybe something you once had and held dear to your heart. Well, so did our Lord. First the people of Jerusalem. His people. Then, to bring reality home, His relative Lazarus. He was close to Lazarus. Jesus the man grieved his loss of someone that was very dear to him. Remember, Martha came and accused Him of intentionally procrastinating. If you would have only been here sooner. You know as a human that had to have been like a dagger headed straight through His heart. Then, at the cross He grieved as His people rejected, mocked, and made fun of Him. He forgave them. Everyone of them. Jerusalem, Martha, and all of mankind. Forgive them. They know not what they do.

So, if you are being visited by grief and sorrow, go to your Lord and Savior. Take everything to Him. He paid the price to heal you. To restore you. He won’t remove the memory. That would make it a lie. He does not lie, nor repent. What He can and will do is remove the pain of the memory of it. That is what forgiveness pays for. I have had so many painful events in my life. But, forgiveness bought healing. I no longer have the pain associated with the memory. What a blessing it is. It frees me up to see people as He sees them.

He was wounded for our transgressions. What is the meaning of transgression? Why would He choose this word instead of saying sin? In Hebrew, according to the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, transgression is pronounced pasa. It means to break away from just authority, trespass, apostacize, quarrell, offend, rebel, or revolt. To rush upon. When we transgress the law of God, we do all of these things. So, He redeemed us from the curse of the law. Does this make the law of no effect? I think not. Quite the opposite. It makes us even more accountable to the law of God. But, if we truly repent before Him. Truly become broken before Him. There is forgiveness. There is redemption.

He was bruised for our iniquities. The same question arises that I asked about transgression. Once again, the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance says it is pronounced in Hebrew awon. It means to watch with jealousy or evil eye, fault, perversity, punishment, or sin. The Roman soldiers were very perverse. It was perverseness in the scribes and Pharisees that accused and had Jesus crucified. They subjected Jesus to the perverseness of the Roman Sodiers. There is no telling all that He had to endure behind those prison walls. Any soldier can testify to that. There are things that they cannot unsee. And for our veterans, whether you were the one who was issuing torture, or were on the receiving end of it, Jesus paid for it. Forgave it! Just repent. Come truly broken before Him. He will forgive, redeem, and heal you. Heal even remove the pain associated with the memory of it.

The chastisement of our peace was upon Him. One of the definitions of chastisement in the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance is restraint. He was restrained for our peace. Has fear ever overtaken  your heart? Have you ever been tormented by fear. Fear is also referred to as phobia. There are so many phobias. Fear steals the joys of life. Fear or phobia is the opposite of peace. When we are walking afraid, we are not walking in His peace. I am not telling anyone to get off their meds. Luke was a doctor for a reason. To let people know that the  Lord is the God of wisdom. And in His finite wisdom he gave wisdom to certain men and women to be doctors and nurses. Anyone who works in the medical field. They have been given the gift of God to heal. Not everyone acknowledges this. So, back to the subject. If you are walking in fear, there is healing for it. Repent of walking in fear. There is forgiveness and redemption for that. Hallelujah!

By His stripes we are healed. This covers a multitude of ailments or illnesses. Every stripe from the cat of nine tails bought our healing. Let me say this, as a child of God, your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. And, if that is so, then no unholy thing can dwell there. Therefore, every stripe says, “ Sickness you no longer have a right to that vessel of God!” When Jesus went about healing people, it was now. Not later. This is also where faith comes in. Remember, He said over and over again, “Your faith made you whole. Your faith healed you. Go and sin no more.” You see, it is our choices that decide the arrival of our healing. If we are in sin, repent. Become truly broken before Him and be healed. Receive His forgiveness and redemption. For the rest of us it is about receiving the reality of His healing. “Oh, He did that for them. But, I don’t know if He can or will do it for me.” Get out of your false pride! He is not a respector of person. He makes no exceptions! It is our faith and gratitude that welcomes in His healing. Because we are worshiping the giver of that gift of healing in your body.

He was oppressed, afflicted, imprisoned, and judged. He paid for our deliverance from all of this. Remember He became a curse. Why? To redeem us from the curse of the law. That is what He meant by “I did not come to do away with the law and the prophets, but to fulfill them.” Which means we can walk the crucified way. Why? How? Because I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. When He told the disciples to come follow Him. He meant to follow my example. They were in a discipleship program. Ergo they are referred to as disciples. As we follow Him, we can obtain deliverance in His word. We can  obtain healing in His word. But, above all these, we can obtain His forgiveness and redemption through repentance and brokenness.

He was numbered with the sinners. Why? Why would He do this? Remember He was a man with a mission. His sole mission was to redeem mankind. To get Him back in right relationship with Him and the Father. The disciples asked to learn how to pray. This is the outline He gave them and all of us.  Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Notice, forgive as we forgive. If you are not walking in forgiveness you are not one of His. Forgiveness is a true sign that you are His. Forgiveness can take insurmountable strength. Remember Jesus Christ did it. He is not asking something of us that He has not done Himself. Remember, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. So, during this week before resurrection Sunday, reflect, ponder and do a soul search of forgiveness. Who do you have ought against? Who can’t you forgive? You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Forgiveness is a gift for you. It opens so many doors of blessings that are otherwise closed for you. Besides, that is too much power to give another human being! Yes they took this from  you. Why would you give them your salvation also. That includes forgiving yourself. Who do you think you are?! Holding yourself in bondage again in that false pride?! If I forgive you, how dare you try to usurp my authority and refuse to forgive yourself?! Who do you think you are? I said I want to redeem you. Forgive you. Just come broken before me.  This is a word for someone.

If you have not received Christ into your heart. If you are not saved by His saving grace, let me pray with you. Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Let’s take a moment to tell the Lord our sins and ask for HIs forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and for answering my prayer. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

I am so glad you could join me today. May the Lord richly bless you and keep you. And, may you have a blessed Resurrection Sunday.

A word from the Lord - Deathbed Salvation

Hello and welcome to My Little House of Prayer Ministry. I am your host Dayla Smith. I am so glad you could join me today. I have received a word for today. There is a message that went out from the pulpits concerning the deathbed salvation. It is true that people can become saved on their deathbed. The Lord is the judge and trier of hearts. And, He is a Holy, Righteous Judge. His will is that none should perish, but all come to everlasting lasting life in Christ Jesus. 2 Peter 3:8-10 8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Recently, a dear friend of mine lost a childhood best friend. Well, the childhood friend was a backslidden Christian. So, is the dear friend. Which is such dangerous territory due to the X factor of death. We are not promised tomorrow! So, according to Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:, you only have right now continually to decide to call on the Name of the Lord. To be continually counted among the redeemed.

In Isaiah 55:6-7, it says, 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.  You see, the Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He changes not. Back to my dear friend and her dear friend who passed away. She has been believing the Lord for her deliverance. I’m sure her friend was doing the same thing. But, deliverance works this way. Isaiah 1:10-20 10 Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah. 11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. 12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? 13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. 14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. 15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. 16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; 17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

True, broken repentance. Your choice. He adressed their

Sin. Even their sin in their worship and sacrifice without repentance. Then, in His great compassion, He tells us how to fix that. Did you see that? “Come let us reason together” means to “Come in unity with Christ and declare or decree” So, He is telling even us to come in unity with Christ and decree, or declare, or pass judgement against our sin. To come to Him with a broken and contrite spirit about our sinful nature.Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

When we do this, we are to turn our backs on that sinful lifestyle and behavior. We are to choose against it. You see, Jesus has done everything He was going to do concerning sin at the cross on Cavary’s Hill! The choice is left up to us to walk in it or not! This is how deliverance works. And His hand is very mighty to save. James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. How do we draw close to God, repentance. True broken repentance. This is how we will be entering the Kingdom of God. Bowed down and broken before Him. Acknowledgeing our being a constant sinner in desperate need of a Savior. That is not repoeating the same sin over and over again. But, a constant growing in the measure and stature of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Now back to my friend and her friend that passed away. My friend has an addiction problem and has been asking the Lord to deliver her. She will be puffing on a cigarette and saying, “The Lord is going to deliver me from this.” Let me say this. There is no magic wand on His deliverance. You either recieve it unto true repentance or not! He has done all He will do at Calvary’s hill. It is your choice to walk in it! He has given her opportunity upon opportunity to decide whether she will serve the Lord or not. Well, through the course of events, she has decided against His will. And, over time, has become backslidden. The Lord spoke to her, that if she did not change, He would give her over to it. Well, now she is full blown up in her sin. James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Now the enemy is lying to her. Her words about her friends deathwere, “I want to believe that she cried out to the Lord in her coma. I want to believe she made heaven her home in that moment.” Be it the coma was life support and according to Hebrews, if she had not repented of her sin and sinful lifestyle, she did not make heaven her home. Would I tell her this. Unless the Lord would tell me to, I would not. But, instead her words showed me how the enemy lies to the body of Christ. His words not mine. This is the word of the Lord. “If you are hoping to return to Me on your death bed, I Am not in that. Now is the time to decide. You don’t know when I will say your time on this earth is at an end. I want you to make heaven your home more than you do. I showed you the depth and width of my desire and love for you. You are called to now repentance. Come before me broken and contrite over your sin and I will draw near to you. You will never have to choose alone. I will be with you in your decree against sin. My grace to make those choices against sin will go with you. But, you must choose who you will serve.

The God of this world. Or, My crucified way. Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Romans 12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

What is the Apostle Paul talking about? The old sinful nature of your old man. The nature and the man must be crucified. That is our reasonable service. You can not call yourself a Christian and not be Christ - like. We are to follow His example. And, if He could walk out a life without sinning, how much more should we be able to follow His footsteps. Picture a child growing up. His parent is his/her example of how to carry on in life. How to walk and talk. How to learn. How to constantly mature. So, it is in our relationship with Christ. If you truly want to live a convicted lifestyle in this day and age. I strongly suggest the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He is the power to walk this walk. He convicts us of sin. He encourges us in His word. He testifies of truth. His language is a love language between Him And the Father and the Son. That only they can understand. And, this drives the enemy nuts. That is why the body doesn’t talk about it a whole lot. The enemy has placed his conditions on the discussion of it. Which is “Don’t even mention it.” If you are not living a convicted lifestyle, get the baptism of the Holy Spirit. If you are living a life of discouragement and fear, get the baptism of the Holy Spirit. If you are not reading your bible and/or not understanding and keeping what you read; get the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

And for those who have the baptism of the Holy Spirit, if you are lacking conviction, hearing the voice of the Lord, if you are living a defeated lifestyle of fear doubt and unbelief. If you are lacking the desire to get in the Word of God and read to be a doer as well as a hearer, get in your prayer language. And the more oportunities not to pray in your prayer language, which by the way builds your most holy faith, pray in your prayer language.

For those of you who do not have the baptism of the Holy Spirit, let me pray for and with you.

Now, for those who have not asked Jesus Christ to come into their hearts, or you may be like my friend who has slowly backslidden waiting for a magic wand to be waved over her to remove the free will choice he has given her. If you have walked with the Lord, and find yourself to have walked away, I would like to pray with you. I would like to help bring you back to the Lord. Lord, I come before you. Broken and contrite. Humble and grievous over my choices. I want to come back to sweet fellowship with you. Jesus Christ, I give my heart, mind, and emotions to you. I ask you  to consume them with fire of the Holy Spirit. I give you permission Lord Jesus to change me and  my life forever. I want to walk in the crucified way. I want to be dead to the sinful nature and old carnal man. I know now, I have to choose each day, who i will serve. As of today, As for me and  my house, we will serve the Lord. Thank you so very much Lord Jesus Christ, for accepting me back into your fold with your unconditional love.  I ask and accept your sweet forgiveness of my sins. (Take a moment to call out those sins before your Lord and Creator. Then, thank him for His forgiveness of each and every sin.) I recommit to you today Lord Jesus. Thank you again for forgiving me and accepting me back. Use me Lord, again for your glory. In Jesus Christ’ mighty name. Amen.

Once again, I am so glad you could join me today. I am hoping you have a blessed day and week. Until we meet again.
