Thank you to our service men and women, also to our Fur and feathered soldiers.

Thank you all so very much for your service. My dad taught me the value on the price that was paid for my freedom. And, how I should cherish this freedom. Once again, thank you so very much to not only those who gave their lives, both human and K-9, but also the families they left behind. Thank you. And my sincerest condolences.

May be an image of dog and text that says 'As America celebrates Memorial Day, we pay trĂbute to those who have given their lives both human and K-9 Thank you for your service!'

The Power of Soul Ties

  The Power Of Soul Ties

Hello and welcome to My Little House of Prayer. I am your host Dayla Smith. I am so glad that you could join me today. This is such a powerful message the Lord has for all of us this week. The power of soul ties. Righteous soul ties can be just as powerful as an evil soul tie. I hope you will enjoy today’s message. I know that I am.

In our lives we develop all kinds of soul ties. It really and truly begins at conception. I have a friend that likes to refer to this soul tie as the mom button. I like that. The mom button. Others like to call it the apron string. My friend says that once the mom button turns on, there is no turning it off. I have found this to be true and it has also helped me in my relationship with my daughter. I am learning when to speak and when to hold my peace and pray. Because experience is always the best teacher. And, our children can not have a testimony without a test. Remember, they are our epitaph. So, we have a parental soul tie. In the old testament, we see many examples of how great men and women of God’s children took what they learned and saw from their parents' lives, and applied it to their lives.  They took what they learned and ran with it further than their parents' lives did. This is why Solomon said in  Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Then, throughout our lives, we create soul ties with friends. You know, your ride or die. Your BFF, or best friend forever. King David and Jonathan had this soul tie. 1 Samuel 18:1-19:7  18 And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. 2 And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father's house. 3 Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul. 4 And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle. 5 And David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul's servants. 6 And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of musick.7 And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.8 And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom?

9 And Saul eyed David from that day and forward. 10 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul's hand.11 And Saul cast the javelin; for he said, I will smite David even to the wall with it. And David avoided out of his presence twice.12 And Saul was afraid of David, because the Lord was with him, and was departed from Saul.13 Therefore Saul removed him from him, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people.14 And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the Lord was with him.15 Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was afraid of him.16 But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he went out and came in before them.17 And Saul said to David, Behold my elder daughter Merab, her will I give thee to wife: only be thou valiant for me, and fight the Lord's battles. For Saul said, Let not mine hand be upon him, but let the hand of the Philistines be upon him.18 And David said unto Saul, Who am I? and what is my life, or my father's family in Israel, that I should be son in law to the king?19 But it came to pass at the time when Merab Saul's daughter should have been given to David, that she was given unto Adriel the Meholathite to wife.20 And Michal Saul's daughter loved David: and they told Saul, and the thing pleased him.21 And Saul said, I will give him her, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him. Wherefore Saul said to David, Thou shalt this day be my son in law in the one of the twain.22 And Saul commanded his servants, saying, Commune with David secretly, and say, Behold, the king hath delight in thee, and all his servants love thee: now therefore be the king's son in law.23 And Saul's servants spake those words in the ears of David. And David said, Seemeth it to you a light thing to be a king's son in law, seeing that I am a poor man, and lightly esteemed?24 And the servants of Saul told him, saying, On this manner spake David.25 And Saul said, Thus shall ye say to David, The king desireth not any dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be avenged of the king's enemies. But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.26 And when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king's son in law: and the days were not expired.27 Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king's son in law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife.28 And Saul saw and knew that the Lord was with David, and that Michal Saul's daughter loved him.29 And Saul was yet the more afraid of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually.30 Then the princes of the Philistines went forth: and it came to pass, after they went forth, that David behaved himself more wisely than all the servants of Saul; so that his name was much set by.19 And Saul spake to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill David.2 But Jonathan Saul's son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself:3 And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou art, and I will commune with my father of thee; and what I see, that I will tell thee.4 And Jonathan spake good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against thee, and because his works have been to thee-ward very good:5 For he did put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine, and the Lord wrought a great salvation for all Israel: thou sawest it, and didst rejoice: wherefore then wilt thou sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause?6 And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan: and Saul sware, As the Lord liveth, he shall not be slain.7 And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan shewed him all those things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as in times past.

Because this scripture is usually used when speaking of soul ties let’s look at another example. Let’s look at Genesis 31:38-49  38 This twenty years have I been with thee; thy ewes and thy she goats have not cast their young, and the rams of thy flock have I not eaten.39 That which was torn of beasts I brought not unto thee; I bare the loss of it; of my hand didst thou require it, whether stolen by day, or stolen by night.40 Thus I was; in the day the drought consumed me, and the frost by night; and my sleep departed from mine eyes.41 Thus have I been twenty years in thy house; I served thee fourteen years for thy two daughters, and six years for thy cattle: and thou hast changed my wages ten times.42 Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.43 And Laban answered and said unto Jacob, These daughters are my daughters, and these children are my children, and these cattle are my cattle, and all that thou seest is mine: and what can I do this day unto these my daughters, or unto their children which they have born?44 Now therefore come thou, let us make a covenant, I and thou; and let it be for a witness between me and thee.45 And Jacob took a stone, and set it up for a pillar.46 And Jacob said unto his brethren, Gather stones; and they took stones, and made an heap: and they did eat there upon the heap.47 And Laban called it Jegarsahadutha: but Jacob called it Galeed.48 And Laban said, This heap is a witness between me and thee this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed;49 And Mizpah; for he said, The Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another.

In both examples, they made a covenant. The word Covenant in Hebrew according to the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance is pronounced Berit or bara. It has the same meaning in both scriptures. It means in the sense of cutting, a compact because made by passing between two pieces of flesh, confederacy or league. To feed also, to render clear, choose, cause to eat, manifest, meat, give meat. This meaning also sounds like what Jesus said in John 15:5-7, 6:54-58, and in Matthew 26:26-28.

The Lord’s original language was in word pictures. Which I find very interesting. When you want to graft a branch in with another plant, You have to cut open it’s side. Look at John 19:34-35  34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.

You might be thinking, “Wait a minute! I thought we were talking about soul ties.” We are. Remember David and Jonathan’s souls were knit. After you cut open the side of one plant, you have to take the cutting of another plant and place it in the side of the plant and then bind them together with twine. When Jesus’ side was cut open, that is when the gentile nations were grafted in. Hallelujah! Thank you so much, Jesus!

Are you starting to see just how powerful soul ties are? Another soul tie is created through our sexual partner. Righteously it is supposed to be with your spouse. But remember in the beginning, I told you that we could have righteous or evil soul ties. You can have this in your parental, friendships, and through sex. As you saw earlier, we talked about righteous soul ties. Now, let’s talk about evil soul ties.

Look at Samson and Delilah. The LORD does nothing per chance. Everything in His beautiful Word is vital to our walk.Judges 16:4-20  4 And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.5 And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.6 And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.7 And Samson said unto her, If they bind me with seven green withs that were never dried, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.8 Then the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven green withs which had not been dried, and she bound him with them.9 Now there were men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withs, as a thread of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known.10 And Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound.11 And he said unto her, If they bind me fast with new ropes that never were occupied, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.12 Delilah therefore took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And there were liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his arms like a thread.13 And Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web.14 And she fastened it with the pin, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awaked out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam, and with the web.15 And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart is not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth.16 And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death;17 That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.18 And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand.19 And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him. 20 And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the Lord was departed from him.

Here is a beautiful example of an evil soul tie. Do you see just how far away from the Lord, she pulled him. He let his heart fall in love with a non- believer. In his flesh through sex, he made a soul tie with her. Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and make you pay way more than you want to pay. Pastor Theresa Hebert made a comment one time that has since stuck with me. “If a woman of sin can make a man walk so far away from the Lord, how much more can a woman of God pull him close to the Lord.” No. You can change no one. Only the Lord can do the changing. But, through prayer and your lifestyle, you can encourage him to walk with the Lord. No, I’m not a fan of unequally yoked relationships. I’ve done it. And, it is way too hard. You pay too dear a price for getting in an unequally yoked relationship. The devil knows all of your flaws and weaknesses. And, an unsaved person is under his influence. I believe this is for someone right now. So, please here these words. You are about to make a decision right now. And, you can’t make a right decision without all the facts. If you are a saved person wanting to marry an unsaved person. If you are thinking he/she will change because of his/her love for you. That is your first mistake. The enemy has already begun to feed you a lie. You can’t change him. Because there is nothing good in you that can redeem him/her. Only Jesus can change them. Because He is the only one who can redeem him/her. His love is perfect because He is perfect. That person who is lost is under the complete control of Satan and his cohorts. It will take Jesus to remove that control. And, Satan and his cohorts know all of this. And, will use that person to drive you away from your walk with the Lord. This is the end game of the enemy. He comes to steal, kill and to destroy. Destroy what? Your testimony and ultimately your salvation. I hope you listen carefully to these words.

A soul tie can be broken. But, it does take some time. You have to repent of the soul tie. Then, pray and ask the father to help you take your pieces back that you gave that person. And, also give back the pieces you took from that person. Forgive them. Forgive yourself. And, cut off that relationship until that person becomes a Christian. Saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy ghost. Not because you are angry, resentful, or unforgiving. But, because you have made yourself way too weak to stand against the wiles of the enemy. Please don’t let pride come in and tell you that you can keep the relationship. Just explain to them that theLord showed you that you are doing them an injustice by allowing the relationship to continue. That you can still say hello when you pass each other. But, that a relationship with each other is not advisable at the moment. Then, chalk it up as a lesson learned.

I know this message was rather lengthy than normal. But, the Lord told me that it was important that this message got out to you. If you are wanting a true relationship with the Son of the Living God. This is all you have to do. Take a long hard look at your life of sin. Come broken before the Lord over your life of sin. Then, call out each and everyone of them to Him. He isn’t shocked. He knows all about your choice making. Hahahaha. Then, repent. Change your mind, your choice making, over your old life of sin. Ask the Father to forgive you as you forgive others and yourself. Then, make Him Lord over your life. If you want to pray with me right now, we can. But remember, He wants a personal soul tie with you. A personal relationship with you.

Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and for answering my prayer. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

I am so glad you could join me today. I hope this message helped you. Now, if you are in an unequally yoked relationship, just repent and ask the Lord for His forgiveness. Then, ask him to lead and guide you the rest of the way. I hope today’s message blessed you. May you have a blessed week until we meet again next week at My Little House of Prayer.

Who Do You Say that I Am

Who Do You Say that I Am?

Hello and welcome to My Little House of Prayer. I am so glad that you could join me today. I am your host Dayla Smith. Today, the Lord is asking each of us this question. “Who do you say that I am?” Funny a few weeks ago, I had some spare time to wind down at the end of my day. Bella and I picked a movie out to watch. (Bella is my gift from God. A golden Labrador.) Then, we cozied up on the couch and ate cotton candy while watching the movie. Yes, you heard me right. My dog loves cotton candy.  I am adding a little bit of humor to a serious discussion. “Who do you say that I am?”

The movie was God’s Not Dead 2. A teacher was on trial for answering a student's question. The student’s question was a point blank question that  she could not hide her faith. She is put on the stand. And because of her lawyer's line of questioning, he asked to make her a hostile witness. He forced her to testify of her faith on the stand. He asked her to tell what the question she was met with that led to her faith in Christ Jesus. And, through tears, she replied, “Who do you say that I am?”  Then, He asked her what her reply was. I’ve been thinking about a scripture where Jesus asked Peter this question. And, just like the teacher in the movie, Peter had the same epiphany. We all need this epiphany to happen to us in our walk with the Lord.

You know Moses had to decide who He was in his life. David’s relationship with the Lord depended on what David knew about His nature and who He was to Him. Isaiah prophesied who He was. Peter acknowledged who He was. Many great men and women of God are presented with this question. And, even today, He is asking us this question.

Exodus 3:1-17  3 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. 2 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. 3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. 4 And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. 5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. 6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. 7 And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; 8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto  the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. 10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? 12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain. 13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you. 15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.16 Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:17 And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.

Notice in verse 6, the Lord told Moses who He was. But then, in verses 13-15 Moses is still asking the Lord for His name. And, throughout Moses’ life, the Lord presented His Name to Him. I AM that I Am. I Am your all in all. I Am everything you need. I Am your life source. I AM your redeemer, deliverer, wonderful counselor. Moses had to walk this out throughout his entire life. The Lord was always faithful.

The Lord presented Himself as everything Moses would need to lead His people. But, far greater, He was everything Moses needed for his own life as well. You see, Moses started out a murderer. He also had anger issues. Oh, come on now! Don’t try to act high and mighty like you’ve never let your anger get away from you! Maybe you never murdered anyone physically. But, what about with your tongue? Proverbs 18:21  21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. So, at the burning bush and throughout his walk, Moses realized his constant need for a savior. Why do you think he kept getting away from the crowd to go pray. This sounds like what my Savior kept doing when He walked the earth.

In the book of Psalms, David declares His relationship with the Lord. David had a real relationship with the Lord. And, from that was able to declare and prophesy of who His Name was to Him. He prophesied who he said the Lord was. He did this as he was asked the question in His walk with the Lord. “Who do You say that I Am?” But, you can read the book of psalms for yourself.  Let me say this, if you really need and want encouragement. The book of Psalms is it.

When Isaiah was presented with this question, this was his response.Isaiah 6:1-5  6 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. Then, Isaiah’s response after this revelation was to prophecy who He was to him. Isaiah 9:6-7  6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Which in turn, became a reality in Luke 2:1-20  27 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped  in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. 16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

Then Look at Matthew 16:13-19  13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

So you see, in just these few instances, they all had to have an epiphany to this question. Which in turn, defined the rest of their walk with the Lord. You know, I just had a thought. Enoch and Elijah had such an epiphany, that it caused them to walk so close to the Lord that He eventually told them, “You know what? We are so much closer to my home than yours. Let’s just go on to my house.” They never tasted death. Think about that for a moment. That is my desire. To walk so closely with Him, that one day He will do the same for me. And, He just showed me a vision with words. It will happen for you and all my children who are truly walking closely with Me. It is called the rapture. They who are alive in Christ.1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Isn’t this wonderful?!

You see, the question He is asking each and every one of us should create an epiphany in us. So much so, that it dramatically changes our lives. How does it change our lives? Because it changes our decision making. It is called surrender. Surrendering your will, your ideals, wants, and desires to His will. The music band Mercy Me has a song out called Say I Won’t. In the song, there is a verse that says, “While I was waiting to live, My Life was waiting on me.”  “I’m gonna know what it means to live and not just be alive.” How many of you have been just being alive and not truly living? Before I was presented with the question of who I said He was, I was this person. I was so miserable, angry, and bitter. I had no life in me. I lived a completely defeated lifestyle. I felt like life was always going on around me. I was just able to sit on the outside and look on. But, Jesus came my way. And, when He did, He asked me, “Dayla, who do you say that I AM?” I met my fork in the road. My reply was simply this, “You are the Christ. The Son of the one true and Living God.” At that moment, I surrendered everything to Him. There was nothing to turn back to. Nothing in my past could deter my walking with Him.

So, if you are tuning in today, let me tell you that you are at the fork in the road. He is asking for not only a decision. Not only a commitment. But, for a total Surrender to Him. Where there is nothing in your past worth going back to. I haven’t regretted for one moment, my decision. He has made this walk all worthwhile. What I am talking about is, do you want a real relationship with the one true and living God? One where He becomes very real in your life? Well, His question to you is very simple. Who do you say that I am.? Are you ready to surrender completely to me? Are you broken? Broken over your sin? Well repent of your sin. Come and ask forgiveness. Then, you must forgive others who have offended you. He can’t forgive you unless you forgive. Then, make Jesus the Christ Lord over your life. I will pray with you right now. Amen.

Now, please get a bible translation that you will read. I prefer the King James translation. But, that is just me. Read it. In the new testament you learn who Jesus is to you. In the old, you learn what He expects of you. And, just how much of His grace is lavished on each and every one of us. Find a church that preaches the uncompromising truth of God’s word. Sit under that pastor for at least a year. In that year you will learn and grow.

Thank you so much for joining me at My Little House of Prayer. I hope you have a very blessed week.

Provoke One Another to Love

Hello and welcome to My Little House of Prayer. I am so glad that you could join me today. The subject today is about provoking one another to love. Hebrews 10:23-25 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

In this day and time, there is so much hate and anger. Every time you turn on the hellivision, read the newspaper, or even the people around you, that is all you hear. Even in the body of Christ there are cliches. According to Paul this ought not be so.1 Corinthians 12:25-27 25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. 26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

We have to be so careful not to let the worldly ways come in the body of Christ. We are called to be Christ-like. Christ showed us how we are to treat one another. Lost or saved. A dear brother in Christ was talking with me. And this was the best advice I ever heard. “You may be the only light they see.” I wanted to stay home and just be with the Lord. No offense to my friends and family. There were many get-togethers I wanted to not attend. Not because I didn’t want to be with my family. I was enjoying the relationship with my Lord and savior. I guess you could say that I wanted to be so heavenly minded that I was no earthly good.  Hahahahaha

I listened to him, with a grumbly heart at first. But, at the end, the Lord would always open the door to share with my family my new found faith. I had so much enjoyment being with them, I didn’t want it to end. So, with that lesson in mind, I can’t wait to get with people. To seize the opportunity to introduce people to my best friend. My Father in heaven. My Savior and King.

I am hearing a song that plays on the radio. “If we are the body ”by Casting Crowns.  1 Corinthians 12: 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. The song asks a very valid question.” If we are the body, why aren’t His hands reaching? Why aren’t His feet going? Why is His love not showing them there is a way?”

1 Corinthians 13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

I find it very interesting that Paul starts the love walk conversation from chapter 12 then goes on to give detail in chapter 13 of corinthians. You see, I always said that the word of God was a love letter to the body of Christ. We are to bear good fruit. What is Jesus talking about, we are to bear good fruit? John 15:1-13 15 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.11 These things have I  spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

My favorite scripture in the entire bible is John 15:13 Greater love  hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. This is the first scripture the Lord gave me the day I received Him as my Lord and Savior. The fruit He wants us to bear is the fruit of the Holy Spirit.Galatians 5:22-23  22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Notice how love is the main motivator. The 10 Commandments are really a law of love.1 John 4:7-10  7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

So, do you love yourself? Would you protect yourself from harm? Would you provide for yourself? Jesus says that we are to love one another as we love ourselves. To do unto others as we would for ourselves. Then, He says this is the greatest commandment. In other words, the most important commandment. So, now do you see why I said the 10 commandments were a law of love. Nowhere does it  say “Do unto others before they do unto you.” That is something only satan and His cohorts would say. Remember, satan and his cohorts  come only to steal, kill, and to destroy.  This world is so clouded in hate, darkness, and death.  Don’t think the misery of His people go on deaf ears. He hears the cries of His people as well as His creation. He is saving every last tear you cry in a bottle. Why? Why would He save our tears? Because you only save something that is important to you. Your tears are important to Him. Why? Because when everything is said and done, at the white throne judgment seat, He will pass judgment over every one of those tears. They will be poured out to create the streams that  make glad in the New City. This is how he wipes away every tear.

Oh, His great love for us. How powerful is this?

This always blows me away. Even after 28 years, the knowledge of His great love for me just blows my mind. Does it blow your mind? Maybe you have not considered this. How much your Lord and savior loves you? I dare you to ponder this. When I finally received Christ as my savior, I felt like I was standing in an ocean. The waves of His great love and mercy just kept rolling over me. It cleansed me. At that moment, I was baptized in His great love. 1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.

We can’t love until we let Him love us. We must allow Him to love us through His precious Word. The Holy Bible. When we let Him pour His love on us. Let His examples in the word teach us how to show love to others. Then, we can become a divine tree, bearing fruit. Are you a tree with fruit that people will want to eat? That question was presented to me at the beginning of my walk. Does your fruit make people squint their eyes and purse their lips? I’ve asked the Lord for sweet fruit. I am still asking the Lord to help my love walk.  That I may provoke the people around me to love. To encourage those around me.

Why did He say, “And so much the more as you see the day approaching?” What day is approaching? Judgment Day of Christ. What does He want to see more of on that day? Us provoking one another to love and good works. What does the word provoke mean? In the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance it is a Greek word that means to incite. Incite means to move to action : stir up : spur on : urge on.

You will not believe this. This is incredible. God is oh so good!!!! I got a lesson while pondering all night about the word incite. How can I incite another to love? This morning, my sister called me. She was incredibly upset by a text she had received from an unsympathetic, ignorant family member. Or, should I say a group of them. She wanted to react to their hate, darkness, and death. But, she told me the Lord said for her to hold her peace. Right after I began to encourage her to fill them in on the real truth of the matter. She told me he told her to hold her peace, as the Lord was speaking to my heart, “That’s real good. You’re really inciting her to love aren’t you?” You see, we want the Lord to fight our battles for us. How can He when we keep taking back the “CONTROL.” We like to control the things around us. But, Jesus says that our control is very flawed. That is why he tells us that the battle is His. That vengeance is His. He says it all over His word. But, this is another lesson.

How did I incite her to love? I encouraged her that the very people running their mouths in judgment at her were lost souls. That the only reply she could give them was the salvation message. If she couldn’t speak salvation to them, she had to hold her peace.   The word incite means to move to action : stir up : spur on : urge on. What are we to incite others to? To love and to good works. You see, love is a verb. It requires action. Missouri likes to call itself the show me state.

I think the Lord was the first to claim that saying, “Don’t tell me you love me. Show me.” Matthew 15:8-9  8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Isaiah 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

So when we allow the Christ in us to exemplify His precious love, light, and life in a world of hate, darkness, and death. We are Christ - like. We are inciting others to love and good works. This world needs more love, light, and life in it. How else will lost souls be drawn into the kingdom? And, as you saw earlier, when hate, darkness, and death are in your face; it is not all too easy to not return the favor.

Jesus gave us an outline of how to incite others to love in Matthew chapter 5.  Matthew 5 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: 2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

So, if you are reading, or hearing this today. Is it speaking to you? It sure spoke to me. Let’s ponder this and look for opportunities to show the love of Jesus to others today. If you are reading and hearing this and you don’t have a real relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ today and would like to know this Jesus who's been loving you. Let me pray with you today. Amen.

Thank you for joining me today at My Little House of Prayer. I hope you will join me next week. May you have a very blessed week.

Flesh You Are Not LORD

  Flesh, You are not Lord!

Hello, and welcome to My Little House of Prayer Ministries. So, glad that you could join me today. And, what a great day in the Lord it is. He is so worthy to be praised. I had a whole other message I thought that I was going to put up. But, the Lord said that He wanted me to talk about our flesh. How we can gain victories that we have been praying; sometimes years for. We are in a battle with the world, the flesh, and/or the devil. I chose and/or because we can be in a battle with both our flesh and the devil at the same time.  I know this from personal experience. But, I will get to that much later.

How do I know that the Lord wanted me to talk about this. Because, He had me go through some experiences to be able to talk about it. Then, 3 different phone calls to confirm it.  I feel sorry for those in a fight and don’t know what weapons are available. Ergo, this ministry. To be able to help someone else not struggle as long, as hard, and as unvictorious as I was. Remember, the enemy comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy. What does He ultimately want to destroy? Two main things. Your testimony. And, your walk.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

If he can steal, kill, and destroy your testimony. All that is left is to steal, kill and destroy you. That’s a horrible thing to say. I know, but it is the truth. My mama used to tell me that a true friend will tell you the whole truth no matter how bad it is going to hurt. I’m not out to hurt you. Just to give you the whole truth as I know it. You know, even Jesus gave the whole truth because He was the truth. His close friends had a problem with the truth of why He came to walk among us. John 6: 53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. 58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.59 These things said he  in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. 60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? 61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? 62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? 63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. 65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. 66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

When they all began to leave, Jesus asked the disciples that remained if they would leave also. Well (in my English once again), Peter says, “Dude! You're the only one who seems to have all the answers. Miracles are following you left and right. And, your words aren’t hitting the ground. Where else are we going to go? No one else seems to have any answers. I don’t see anyone else doing miracles either.”    Peter figured it out. Later we find out that Peter was like the rest of us. He only had part of a picture, and a whole lot of flesh to contend with. So, don’t be so quick to judge poor Peter when he couldn’t stay awake. Or, when he denied his Lord 3 times. Flesh is very cunning. And is always wanting it’s way. To make its name known.

In late 1998, I had an experience that was absolutely hysterical. I was staying with some friends while I looked for a job and a place to stay. Well, the man of the house called for a complete 3 day fast for everyone including his pets. Hahahahaha. Yep. You heard right. Even his pets. Only water. So, we all did this fast. Well, day one is always difficult. But, we survived without incident. The next morning we all meet for prayer at 6 am. We all quietly stumble into the living room. Meanwhile, I had had a really weird dream earlier. Someone shot me in the stomach. I was running around trying to hold all the blood inside.  I woke up asking the Lord what all that was about.

Well, we are all quiet. It was in the silence that the Lord spoke to me. “It was your flesh. It was screaming at you that you shot a hole in it and it wants you to fill it up with food.” In the middle of all the quiet, I begin to laugh. And laugh hard. What a lesson I had learned. In that moment of laughter, I spoke up, “Flesh you will not live by bread alone. But, by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”  There were no more of those dreams. I made it through the next 3 days. You see, anything for God, the flesh will never like to do. It will never come in automatic agreement with anything you want to do for God.

What can steal, kill, and destroy your testimony? The world, the flesh, and the devil. Think about it for a moment. The world hates Christians. Your flesh hates to walk the crucified way. The devil just hates all of the Lord’s creation. Because everything was created to lift up the name of the Name of the Lord. Yes, you were created to give Him the glory due His perfect name.

What is the greatest way to give Him the glory due to His Perfect Name. By crucifying the flesh. How do we gain victory over the flesh? By resisting temptation. Remember, I said that there are times the flesh and the devil are together in trying to steal, kill and destroy your testimony and life. Watch this. Romans12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

I have a word for someone right now. Are you being convicted lately? Your flesh and the devil also know whether you believe or not. They know what your faith level is concerning His Word. The Holy Bible. Speak to your flesh. Give it commands of what it will and will not do.

Do you see that?  If you are walking with the Lord, denying your fleshly desires. Like rising early to seek His face instead of sleeping in a few more hours later. Your next step is to resist the devil. How do you resist? You call on the Name of the LORD. That allows Him to speak to your heart to not only resist. But He will give you the wisdom of a way of escape. Then, you have to be obedient to that wisdom to be able to escape the sin that used to trap you. It’s that still small voice inside you telling you to do the opposite of what is in front of you tempting you. Remember, temptation is a distraction from where your focus is supposed to be. The Lord Jesus Christ.

For all of my life, I have battled asthma, bronchitis, rhinitis, and COPD/emphysema. Just a month ago, my pastor was preaching. In the midst of his sermon, he quoted a scripture. The Lord lit on that scripture! And said let’s take a walk. Well, I did. And as I did, I began to oooooh, ahhhh, and wow. My pastor thought it was because of his preaching. So, he began to preach harder. Hahahahahaha But, the scripture my pastor spoke was 1 Corinthians 6:19-20  19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. Then, the Holy Spirit spoke up and quoted this scripture right before He said, let’s take a walk. Hebrews 11:11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Then, we walked.

As we walked, He began to show me different miracles Jesus performed. Each one came “Now Faith” “Now, your faith has made you whole. So immediately, I latched on to His authority theoretically. Which means, I knew it in theory. What I gained in theory was that my body was the temple of the Holy Ghost. As long as I am walking with the Lord, I am His child. And as His child, my body is His Holy temple. And because my body is His Holy temple, no unholy thing can dwell or live there. Furthermore, according to this scripture, Matthew 28:18-20  18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,

All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. He says that all authority and power in heaven and earth are given to Him. And in turn, He has taken all of that authority and power He has been given, and has given it to us His children. His heirs. This is our inheritance.

The next morning, I woke up. I opened my back door and saw all the beautiful trees and flowers. Are your eyes itching yet? Mine used to. It is April going into May. The Lord had been telling me to address my flesh and tell it that it is not the Lord. Anyway, I look outside at all the pretty spring flowers and trees. I used to say that I loved spring and wish it would love me back. That’s when my eyeballs almost popped out of my head. That ole slew footed devil! The spirit of infirmity had me trapped! Even by my own words. I repented of my words. And then, I denounced any fellowship I had had with the spirit of infirmity. I told that lying devil of infirmity, “ YOU ARE UNHOLY!!!!!!!!!!YOU HAVE NO RIGHT HERE  IN THIS HOLY TEMPLE OF GOD!!!!!!!!!!!You cannot stay here!!!!!! Infirmity, you are no longer welcome here! I serve you your eviction notice right now!!!!! At that moment, I felt it leave. I am not telling you to go tempt the Lord, in what I’m about to tell you. I did it without thinking. I had weedeated my yard and my sister’s yard. Well, outside of her fence on one side, they have hay grass. Really long hay grass. Well, I first weedeated it. Then, I came over it with a riding lawn mower. When I backed up out of there, all you could see was a pile of hay moving. The lawn mower and I were underneath it. Are you itching yet? Hahahahahaa. Not me. Not even itchy eyes or the sniffles. About this time, I am hooked up to a nebulizer and inhalers up to 6 times per day. Not any more. I am free! That devil can’t live here anymore!

You see my flesh and the devil were at work on me. Jesus gave me His keys and said, “Let’s drive, now.” So to speak.

Why was I hollering. First of all, you have to get ugly with that old devil. And most times, your own flesh. Picture this. If a robber were to come into your home, would you just sweet talk him? “Oh, here honey. You can just take whatever you want.” No, you would be reaching for the phone, any type of protection (gun, bat, mace, etc..), while screaming at him, “You get out of here!!!!!!!” What does the flesh and the devil want to do. To come to steal, kill, and to destroy. Are you getting righteously angry yet?

He has steadily been trying to get my flesh to accept his will. But, I command my flesh to come into submission to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I let my flesh know that it will not be getting its way, each day. Then, I sternly let the devil of infirmity know his eviction notice was served at Calvary’s Cross. That my body is the temple of the living God. And that it will forever remain a blood bought temple of God.

If you are not a blood bought child of the Living God, Jesus Christ, and would like to be, Let me pray with you. Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Let’s take a moment to confess our sins before the Lord. Let’s come truly broken over our sin and ask Him for His forgiveness. Then, let’s thank Him for His forgiveness.  Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and for answering my prayer. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Let me welcome you to the family of God. All of heaven is rejoicing right now over your decision. Now, you have the same access that I have in His Holy Word. The same access to His authority. But, the only way to learn what that access entails, is to get a Holy Bible. In a translation you can understand. I like the old King James interpretation. But, that is just me. I can’t understand English, as my mother used to ask me. hahahahaahaha. Read it. It is a life and death issue spiritually as well as physically. In there, you will learn who Jesus is and what He expects of you. Today’s teaching is not all that is in there. There is so much more the Lord has for you. And, it can only be found in your bible. It is your spiritual food.

I hope that today's message blesses you. I am so glad that you could join me here today at My Little House of Prayer. I am hoping you will join me again next week. Praying that you have a blessed week.
