What Contract

                                    What Contract?!

Hello and welcome to My Little house of Prayer. I am your host Dayla Smith. I am so very glad that you could join me today as we discuss the marriage contract. That not only is for Israel, His chosen people. But, for all who want to enter into this contract. Let’s open in prayer.

What Contract?

Did you know that God entered into a contract with Israel? Yep. This contract was made with Abraham on the mountain in the land of  Moriah. In the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, Moriah means seen of jah (yah). The mountain in the land is called “On the mountain of the Lord (yaweh) it will be provided.

In Genesis 17:1-16, the Lord established His covenant with abram when He changed His name to Abrahaml. 17 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

Then in Genesis 22:15-18, The Lord reiterates His covenant with Abraham.   15 And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Then in Genesis 32:22-30    22 And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two womenservants, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok.23 And he took them, and sent them over the brook, and sent over that he had.24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.29 And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

Do you know what Abraham means in Hebrew? Father of many nations. I find that very interesting. When the Lord changed Abram’s name to Abraham, He was establishing His covenant with him. He stamped His name on Abram when He changed His name. Every time He heard this name called out to him, He was constantly reminded of God’s eternal promise. How powerful is this?

What are the requirements?

You see, as Christians, we have read and accepted the contract. We are the spiritual seed of Abraham. Yep. I said that. You see, before you sign any contract, you MUST read it through before you sign your name to it.

Jesus explains this in Luke 14:25-35   25 And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.34 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?35 It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

So, how do we count the cost? We look to the cross. The cross represents death to our sinful flesh. We must cast aside those sins that are active in our lives. Lay them down at the foot of the cross. How do we do this? Let’s look at Luke 14:25-35   25 And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.34 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?35 It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

You see, salvation is a free gift of the Holy Spirit. But, it will cost you everything. You see, when the Lord gave instructions to Moses concerning the tabernacle, the first place you had to visit as you went in was the brazen altar. A place of offering. It was also the last place you went to as you went back out. In those days, when you came to see the king, you had to bring an offering or gift. Well, the same goes for the King of kings and LORD of lords. We are required to bring an offering. Romans 12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Why should we enter into this contract?

The answer to this question is quite simple. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

And also not is this another reason to enter into this contract, but also the rewards of entering this contract. This is the contract.Deuteronomy 6 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:2 That thou mightest fear the Lord thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.10 And it shall be, when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,11 And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;12 Then beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.13 Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;15 (For the Lord thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.16 Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.17 Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.18 And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the Lord: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers.19 To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the Lord hath spoken.20 And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord our God hath commanded you?21 Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:22 And the Lord shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:23 And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.24 And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.

Jesus, says in John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Then Paul gave us the answer in Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Saved from what? Eternal seperation from God. From Love, Light, and Life.

How to enter into this contract

If you do not know the Lord Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Let me introduce you to Him. He is the contract. It is really simple. First you must acknowledge that He was born of a virgin, lived as God among us, was crucified, died, buried and rose again on the third day for the salvation of all creation. That you are a sinner in need of a savior according to the mirror of the law of the Lord. Ask Him for His forgiveness for all of your sins and call them out to Him. Thank Him for His forgiveness. Then, forgive those who have sinned or transgressed against you. Then, repent. Repent means to change your mind concerning sinful habits. Change your choice making decisions. Let Him influence your choice making decisions as you get in His Holy Word. Ask Him to be Lord over your life. I want to pray this prayer with you. But, this is just an outline. The real work begins after I pray with you because it is a very personal walk with the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. I acknowledged that you were born of a virgin, you lived as God among us, was crucified, died, and buried. You rose again on the third day for the salvation of all creation. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and for answering my prayer. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

If you have made the decision to give your life to Jesus, let me be one of the first to welcome you to the body of Christ. All of heaven is greatly rejoicing over your decision today. Please let me know of your decision today. I want to pray for you. If this message has brought up any questions or spoke to you in some way, or if you have any prayer requests; please let me know by commenting below, private messaging me, or you can email me at my1littleafmp@aol.com. I would greatly love to hear from you.

On October 16th, 2023, the Lord gave me this word.

A Word From the Lord- I Need a Break

Welcome to My Little house of Prayer. I am your host Dayla Smith. I am a part of a bible study group. In this bible study group, we are trying to learn how to be closer to the Lord. Well, my friend asked me to pray with her about whether to take a break until Spring or not. This morning the Lord gave me my answer. You might want to sit down for this one. This was His answer.

Did I ever take a break? You would have to know my Word intimately to be able to answer this. Have I ever been slack concerning my promises, my covenants with you? Did I take a break at any time in my life here on this earth? From the Garden of Gethsemane to grave, did I ever say wait, I’ll eventually do this? I need a break. No. I am a covenant keeper. I keep all of my promises. You can have my promises, but it costs. I didn’t hold back my Son. My Son didn’t hold back on Calvary’s hill. Why would you hold  back from me?

Remember I love you with the Love of the Lord but Jesus will always love you more.

A Word From the Lord - I Hope and Pray That We All Are Ready?

A Word From the Lord - I Hope and Pray That We All Are Ready?

Hello and welcome to my Little House of Prayer. I am your host Dayla Smith. Thank you for joining me. Let’s open in prayer. I awoke this morning at 6am. (October 19th, 2023) The whole night long, I kept dreaming that I was in the great tribulation trying to not only keep myself alive, but others with me. I awoke and began to pray. After repenting of all of my sins, the Lord began to put certain people on my heart. You know, ”Lord, help them draw closer to you. Protect and keep them. Bring the message of salvation to this lost person. Give them a heart of flesh to receive it. Give them your wonderful gift of repentance.”

At this point, I was reminded of an incredible incident that I was a part of. At that time, I was working at a chicken restaurant. It was prom weekend. Teens are getting ready to go to prom. Their night will be filled with glitz and glamor. Dancing and fun. The night will also have encounters with drinking and drugs. Bad judgment will visit even the innocent. One of my coworkers felt the unction of the Holy Spirit. He began to tearfully plead with our other coworkers as they were leaving to go into their night of fun. You see, we always think we have tomorrow. We put the factor of death out of our minds. “What he said to these young people was profound.” “If you get in an accident where you know you are about to die, remember these words. These words are highly important. They will determine if you make heaven your home or not. Call out, ‘Jesus save and forgive me of all of my sins.’ The word says to call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved. Please remember what I’m telling you.” He kept saying this with tears in his eyes. His words and tears became more and more earnest as he would see the ice chests of ice leave the building. I chimed in with him. But, I also took in this moment that was playing out before my eyes. These were his friends. Not just his coworkers. These were the friends he had been interceding for. I kept hearing this song in my head after that.

https://youtu.be/xSW5uO4kKto?si=0ot3jOmHWOUUPC6- Not only because he was playing the song in the back where we were cooking. But, with the same spiritual angst that he was pleading with his friends.

Things are getting crazy in this world. That doesn’t take a rocket scientist to recognize this. We need to share the gospel with anyone and everyone who will listen with the same spiritual angst my friend had that night. Not just because things are crazy in this world and we think the end is coming. But, because this is a direct command from Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Pray for Israel. She needs our prayers. She is the centerpiece for the Lord. She is the apple of His eye.

If you do not know the Lord Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Let me introduce you to Him. It is really simple. There is a Friend that Sticks Closer than a Brother

There is a Friend that Sticks Closer than a Brother

Hello and welcome to My Little House of Prayer. I am your host Dayla Smith. I am so very glad that you could join me today. Please let’s open in prayer. I have a testimony of the many ways the LORD is a friend that sticks closer to us than a brother. Let’s look at Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. And, Proverbs 18:24 One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

It was the week of Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement)on September 24th. It was also the last Sunday of the Month, where my church observes communion. I’ve been having these nights where all I would dream about is arguing with my late husband and would wake up with a broken heart. As usual, I went to the Lord and said I am so tired of these dreams. Please make them stop. Well, like I’ve said before, Jesus Christ has done everything that He will do at the cross of calvary and the tomb. There is nothing left for Him to do.

At the cross He said,”It is finished.” What is finished? His sacrifice on the cross was the debt we could never repay. He paid the ransom to buy back the deed that the first Adam gave to Satan! Everything He went through was what He paid the ultimate price for. His stripes bought our peace and healing. His bruises were for our iniquity. The apostle James says in James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. In other words, Yeshua put the ball back in each and everyone of our hands. We decide if we keep our inheritance. How do we keep our inheritance? Our choice making decisions towards sin. If you are looking for deliverance in Yeshua, read the contract. Go to Yeshua and ask Him to reveal what is holding you back. Who is the strong man that is binding you up? The Lord is always faithful. The Holy Spirit is always faithful to testify of what he has seen and heard from the Father and the

Son of God.

Let’s read about the Holy Spirit in John 14:25-26    25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.John 16:7-15    7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

All throughout my walk, the Holy Spirit has been faithful and true to this promise from the Father and the Son, Yeshua Hamashia. The Holy Spirit will convict us of sin. He will instruct us in righteousness. He will biblically lead and guide us in the paths of righteousness. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit will not take possession of us, even if we ask Him to. He wants us to want to choose what is right in His eyes. So, to possess us, to take complete control over us, would remove our free will. Our chance to choose Him over anything and anyone else. You see, scripture says that the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. So, only satan and His cohorts would try to take possession of lost souls. He doesn’t want us to make the right decisions. Look at the level of deception in the garden of eden. He possessed the serpent, lied to Adam and Eve, and in turn not only got them into sinning, but also got them to give up the very deed the Lord had given them! He stole, killed, and destroyed the relationship that Adam and Eve had with the Lord.

I did not know that I was going to end up talking about the Holy Spirit today. But, I do believe that is awesome and vitaly important to our walk in these days. Have you received the baptism of the Holy Spirit yet? I promise you that you will definitely need it in order to be able to stand in the Lord and the power of His might in these days to come. To be able to discern truth. The world is so deceptive these days. And, it is promised to only get worse. At the end of this message, I will discuss and pray with you to receive this wonderful free gift from the Lord.

So, back to my testimony. I asked Him to make the dreams stop. Later that day, He revealed to me the unforgiveness in my heart that still lingered there in my heart. I was able to make it right with the Lord. I released the unforgiveness I still had towards my late husband. I asked the Lord to heal all the emotionally charged memories that I still had in my heart. I have not had any more dreams like that since that day. Praise the Lord Most High! But greater than that, He prepared me. Prepared me for what? For Shabbat and communion service.

You see, Shabbat or Sabbath opens with communion. On Shabbat, it was also Yom Kippur. The day of atonement. For Christians, it is a time of fasting and praying for Israel. That she would recognize Yeshua as her Messiah. Also, to rejoice in the God of our salvation. Go to Matthew 5:23-24   23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. And, Matthew 6:14-15   14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

To me, this was so awesomely powerful! My Lord, God, and Savior protected me! Redeemed me once again! Drew me closer to Him than ever before! You see, that’s what forgiveness does. It gives you the opportunity to draw nearer to the LORD. It delivers you from being tormented. 1 John 4:18-20   18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.19 We love him, because he first loved us.20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? You see, forgiveness is a precious gift the Lord has given us. We have the free will to choose to forgive. I believe I got a triple dose of His redeeming grace. How powerful is this?

Let’s go back to the subject of the Holy Spirit. It is a free gift from the Lord. He promised this gift to the disciples as we read earlier. After Jesus rose from the dead He paid quite a few visits to the disciples. He did a lot of explaining of the things that they could not understand before His death and resurrection. Let’s look at a few passages. John 20:19-23   19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

I find it interesting that it finishes with the subject of forgiveness. You see, unforgiveness will block you from receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Luke 24:36-53    36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.43 And he took it, and did eat before them.44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.48 And ye are witnesses of these things.49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

Just because He breathed on the disciples and told them to receive the Holy Spirit of God, did not mean they were acting in conjunction with the Holy Spirit. You see, it is a gift. You can receive a gift, but never open it. A gift is to be opened and used. Faith requires action. So,what were the disciples doing? They were continually praising the Lord. Let’s see what happens next in Acts. Acts 2:1-6   2 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

How did the disciples open this free gift of God? Praise and worship. They worshipped and praised the Lord in one accord. In unity. One mind, one heart. Are you ready to experience this wonderful gift of the Lord. Let us pray.

Lord Jesus, thank you so much for offering this wonderful gift to me. First, of salvation. Now, the precious Holy Spirit. I Accept your gift of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I praise your Holy Name and want to know you more. The Holy Spirit promises to help me know you more. Thank you Lord. In Jesus name amen.

Now, begin to praise and thank Him for it. Open your mouth by faith. Let the words roll out. You will feel a bubble in your stomach. Don’t be afraid. That is the rivers of water that Jesus talks about. Let it come out. You may just have one syllable to start. That’s o.k. As you pray that one syllable, He will cause that language to grow. Just remember to praise and thank the Lord for it. For those who don’t speak in tongues right away, quit focusing on the gift. Focus on the giver of the gift. When you do that long enough, you will begin to speak in tongues. Remember He loves you and wants you to make heaven your home more than you do. He loves you and so do I.

If you do not know the Lord Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Let me introduce you to Him. It is really simple.

What It Means to Be An Ambassador for Christ

What it Means to Be An Ambassador For Christ

Hello and welcome to My Little House of Prayer. I am your host Dayla Smith. Let’s please open in prayer. I have a lot on my heart these days. My heart stays heavy with the things the Lord is speaking to me about the days to come. I find that I am getting more and more quiet at this time. I love to talk. Especially about the Lord and His saving grace. But, as He talks to me about what is going on in the world today, my heart is heavy. Heavy for those who will not make heaven their home. This breaks the LORD’s heart, and in turn breaks mine. Even in my dreams I am ministering salvation to people I don’t even know. I pray that they all come to know the fullness of His saving grace. On the morning of September 18th, the Lord gave me a word to tell His people. “What I did at the cross on Calvary’s Hill should tell the world how much that I Am in love with them. The world needs to be told to fall in love with me. You must accept my love for you. This is very true. But, after that, you must fall in love with me also. When you truly fall in love with me in your actions and choices, you will be my disciples. Then, as you grow in Christ Yeshua, you can make other disciples of Yeshua. This is the call. This is our first ministry. First to Christ, and then to others.” John 3:30-35  30 He must increase, but I must decrease.31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

I do know this. He is calling for all intercessors to storm heaven’s gates for those who are lost. He is calling for the body of Christ to be His ambassadors! Let’s look at what it means to be an ambassador. Let’s look at 2 Corinthians 5:11-21  New International Version - The Ministry of Reconciliation

11 Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. 12 We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart. 13 If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. 14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin[b] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

I chose to put this whole passage because it explains what’s on my heart. We are called to be separate. Yet, we are called to live in this world, but not behave as the world behaves, which is found in Romans 12:1-2. In the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, Ambassador means: Act as a representative. In the Webster’s Dictionary it means: The highest ranking diplomatic representative from one country to another; an authorized messenger.

Now, let’s also look at the meaning of representative in the Webster’s Dictionary. Representative means: Portraying; consisting of or based on representation of the electorate by delegates; an example or  type; a person who acts for another, agent, salesman, etc.. . So, if we have accepted the LORD’s free gift of grace. Salvation in Jesus Christ, Yeshua Hamashia, we then take on the name Christian. That is our label. To be a true believer in Christ Jesus, to carry the Label of being a Christian; which means to be Christ-like, we are to be His example. We are to say only what He says, do only what He does, and behave only as He behaves.

As ambassadors for Christ, we are to lead by example. The way we live out our lives should be what tells the lost who you are. You shouldn’t have to tell people who you are. They should see the light of Christ on you. How else will we go forth and make disciples of ourselves? You see, we are commissioned to find and teach others how to live out this Christian lifestyle. So, how can we be proper ambassadors for Christ?

Our Basic Need for More of Him and Less of Us In Our Lives

Let’s look at John 3:30-36    30 He must increase, but I must decrease.31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

In John chapter 1:23, John the Baptist cries out about being a forerunner for Christ. He had one message, “Repent and be baptized! Make straight the way of the Lord!” Paul talks about being being in a race in Philippians 3:7-14   7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

I believe that at the moment we receive salvation in Christ Jesus of Nazareth, we begin our race. We are called to be forunners of Christ declaring, “Repent and be baptized both of water and Spirit! Prepare yourselves for the kingdom of God is at hand!” Salvation requires death. We are to live our lives out in death to the flesh, the world, and the devil. We are to encourage others to join this walk of separation and death by living out our lives as an example.. Why do I say this? Because, Jesus Christ says it plainly in Matthew 16:24-26  24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? We need to ask the Lord daily to help us have more of Him and less of us in the way we live our lives.

Our Need for Others in Our lives

Let’s go back to the fact that we are in a race according to the apostle Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:7-8  7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

So, what kind of race are we in? I believe we are in a relay race. A relay race is where there are runners strategically placed at certain points where one will hand off the baton to another who is to run further and hand it off to another. I believe that the baton we are to hand off is the word of God according to one scripture amongst many, Deuteronomy 11:16-21   16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;17 And then the Lord's wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the Lord giveth you.18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.

Jesus told the disciples in Matthew 28:19-20  19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. So, we need each other to be able to run our race gloriously! We are to teach others how to enter and run this wonderful race. Ecclesiastes 9:11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. Because it is a God kind of relay race, we don’t have to run fast. Just steady, allowing the Holy Spirit of Hashem to teach us. To convict us, and in so doing, change us into the image and likeness of Christ. That not only will we be an example of what Christ can do in a life totally committed to Him. But, that the way we live our lives will be the baton that is handed off to others who will choose to enter this race.

Ephesians 4:13-16   13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

I hope that this encourages you to fall in love with Jesus. To follow Him not in word only, But also in deed. In such away as to draw others in this relationship with the one true and living God.

If you do not know the Lord Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Let me introduce you to Him. It is really simple. Eternal Love

                                          Eternal Love

Hello and welcome to My Little House of Prayer. I am your host Dayla Smith. I am so very glad that you chose to join me today. Let’s open in prayer. If you visit My Little House of Prayer on Facebook, you have seen my personal post on September 18th, 2023. I believe it is a word from the Lord for everyone including me. “We should already know that the LORD is in love with us, what we really need to learn to do is to fall in love with Him.”

There is an old saying, “The proof is in the pudding.” There is proof in the pudding of our Messiah’s entire life. All throughout His Word he showed His great love toward His creation. Israel is the prime example for the Gentile Christian world, even today. Their devotion to the one true and living God and His laws is a major example. Her failures are an example of many traps that Satan and his cohorts lay out for anyone who truly wants to walk with the Lord. No one is immune to these traps. The only deliverance is in Yeshua Hamashia and His Word. This is why we must read the entire bible. His Word directs us in how to fall completely in love with Him. We must pray and listen for His still small voice. Seek His face and not His hand.

So, how do we seek His face and not His hand?

Proverbs 4:5-9   5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

I believe that when we truly fall in love with the LORD, the triune God; we will seek out ways not just to tell Him that we love Him, but to show Him that we love Him. How do we show Him that we love Him? We read the Word of God and allow the Holy Spirit to teach us how to walk in right relationship with the Lord. When we open our bible to read it, we should plead the blood of Jesus Christ over it. Then, we should invite the Holy Spirit to teach us His Word. He is the witness, after all.

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. When King Solomon was anointed to be King over Israel, the Lord’s people, the Lord came to Him and asked what He could give Him. Solomon was a young impressionable man. But his father, King David, taught Him to fall in love with the Lord. So, when Solomon was presented with this question, He asked for Wisdom. Nothing else. Just the Wisdom of God. And, as long as he listened to the wisdom of God, He stayed in love with the Lord. It is when he disobeyed the wisdom of God that his heart strayed away. He died confused and away from the Lord.

You see, our hearts (minds) often give us away. It tells on us. When we have fallen in love with someone, they are constantly on our minds and our thoughts. The Lord wants to always be a constant in our thoughtlife.  Isaiah 26:3-4   3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength: When we love someone we store up ways to show them we love them. We bring gifts and offerings just to bring a smile on their face. Do we want to put a smile on our Lord’s face?  Matthew 6:19-21   19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Proverbs 7:1-4   7 My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.3 Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:

These are some ways we show Him we love Him. Our fasting just to draw near to Him embraces His heart. When we seek His Word, we show Him a desire to know Him and His ways. When we pray in earnest, not for things of this world, but for His things,His souls; we show him our concern for what is important to Him. When we wait to hear His still small voice, we show Him our interest in Him alone. When we allow the gentle urging and conviction of the Holy Spirit to mold and change us, to be more like Him every day, it puts a bit of sunshine on His day. All these things open His hands of blessing upon us.

You know, the apostle Saul cried out till the day He died, that He wanted to know Him. Philippians 3:10-14   10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

I don’t know Him well enough. I hope that I am like Saul and crying out till the day I day. I want to know more about Him than I did yesterday and every day after that. The only way this is possible is to pray, listen, read His Holy Word, talk to Him, listen, and fast. Fast often. Fast what you love most. What you think you can’t do without. Fast as long as the Holy Spirit of God leads you to fast. Expect the greatness of God to show up. Expect miracles. Expect Him to show up. Get ready for Him to show off. The greatest miracles are those of the changes He has made on and in your life.

Personally He has made permanent impacts on and in my life. He has changed the way I see people around me. How I react to them. I ask Him to help me see people the way He sees them. You see, His main desire is for souls to accept his wonderful gift of salvation. When you love someone, you also share their same interests. His main interest is souls. He has been ever so faithful to answer my prayer. He helps me see beyond people’s smoke screen to what is motivating them. Hurting people hurt people. So, you have to look past the symptoms and see what has brought them to that place.

Today’s society has a need and desire. This has  been for all eternity past and present and will be for all eternity future. That need and desire is not for what you know. But, for that you care and that they are important. The Holy Spirit has taught me this. To let my light shine. To let the love, life, and light of Jesus Christ of Nazareth shine forth. How else will they be convicted and want what we have if we don’t show them?

2 Corinthians 5:11-21   11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.13 For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

We are His ambassadors. We are to behave as such. Matthew 5:13-16   13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven

You see, as ambassadors for Christ, we are to lead others into a real relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We have to show them something different. A different way of living. A way of life that brings freedom and joy. A life of His love, light, and life. How to attain to this life. So many times, we just bust through the door. Demanding that souls see things the way we see it. Jesus is a gentleman. He does not bust through doors. He is not demanding. Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

He does not impose His will upon us. He invites us to join Him in an everlasting journey. As His ambassadors, we are asked to behave the same way. Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. We are to show forth the love He has extended towards each and every one of us. Like I said earlier, our actions are what give away what is in our hearts (minds). If we truly are in love with the LORD, we won’t just tell Him. We will want to show Him. We will always want to be in a relationship with Him. We will have concerns for what concerns Him.

If you do not know the Lord Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Let me introduce you to Him. It is really simple.

Remember I love you with the Love of the Lord but Jesus will always love you more.

This Means War

                                      This Means War

Hello and welcome to My Little House of Prayer. I am your host Dayla Smith. I am so very glad that you could join me today. Let’s open in prayer. You know I believe that this is a very convenient timing of the Lord for this message. I’ve had this title since January of 2022. But He has chosen this time when we are entering the fall months to present this message. So, let’s begin.

Let’s look at John 15 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

ye be my disciples.9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

The Lord has really been changing my thoughtlife. His word is, has, and always will always do this if we allow the truth of His Holy Word to make these changes. We can not be hearers only, but we are to be doers of His truth as it is revealed to us. This world is changing around us. Changing in so many ways.

I don’t know about you and where you are at, but lately when I go to places like the store, doctor’s offices, etc.. . People are in a hurry, impatient, unkind and angry. Normally we want to react. And,not always react as Yeshua would. The Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:10-18 educates on how to approach spiritual warfare as Yeshua would have us approach it. “Spiritual wha..?”, you ask. You heard me. The Lord taught on Spiritual warfare all over His wonderful word. I mean if the Lord thought that there would be no spiritual warfare we would come into contact with, why is there the full armor in Ephesians? Why did David talk about it in Psalm 91. Why is the word of God called the sword of the Spirit and our faith a shield?

Spiritual warfare is very dangerous. I should know. I’ve seen a lot in my lifetime. People don’t want to understand what they are afraid of. But, ducking our head in the sand and saying it doesn’t exist is like saying there is no heaven or hell. Fear and ignorance concerning spiritual warfare is the easiest trap of the enemy. But, the Lord doesn’t want us to be afraid or ignorant. He has given us a sword and a shield. Look up Matthew 11:11-15   11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

1 Kings 17 tells a story of how the enemy comes to us loud and boastful to steal our confidence in the Lord God almighty. But David, as a child of the King of kings and Lord of lords, never lost his confidence in the Lord. He went up to the enemy and stood up against him in the name of the Lord.

In John 4 it says, 4 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

David did not fight Goliath on his earthly turf, but took the battle back on to the LORD’s turf. He stood in the confidence of the Lord and knew that he was victorious before the fight even had begun. You see, we cannot associate ourselves with fear, doubt and unbelief. We have to denounce our association with it, ask the Lord for forgiveness of our association with it, and then repent. Begin to use our shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit. We must know who we are in Christ Jesus, Yeshua Hamashia. Hallelujah! We must develop a relationship with the Most High, Jesus Christ! I really can’t express this enough.

We must seek His face and not His hand. Just a side note: He is tired of this kind of Christianity. “I’m saved and that’s all I need.” If this is what we are doing, we have no salvation at all. You can’t have salvation without a real living relationship with Yeshua. He is our lifeline to keep our salvation. How do we seek His face? PRAYER. Not just you talking to Him about your wants, desires and needs. I emphasize the word wants because this is usually how we come to Him. “Lord, please give me healing, prosperity, etc.. amen.” And then we just walk away. Not willing to sit and listen for Him to speak with you. We need to deny our flesh and sit and wait on Him. If all your children and spouse always came to you asking for this, that and the other and never did anything else. They didn’t even begin to hold a conversation with you, how would you feel? Me, I would feel totally dejected.

We must read our bible. Not some of it. Not just pick and choose what we will read. Not just a verse or two. How desperate are we to have Him be real in our lives? How desperate are we for miracles, signs and wonders? How desperate are we to have a real relationship with the one true and living God? You can’t have a real relationship with Him if we don’t care enough to learn about Him. This is one of the many reasons He kept telling His people that they love Him with their lips, but their hearts are far from Him. Do you know that if our hearts are far from Him on this side of eternity, that will determine our destiny on the other side of eternity. I am realizing that this is a complete word for all of God’s people. His Word changes us and how we see and respond to others and our surroundings. This is how dangerous it is for us not to have a relationship, or even a partial relationship with the Lord.

Let’s look at Acts 19:1-18  19 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.7 And all the men were about twelve.8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.9 But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.

The apostle Paul had a relationship with the Lord. Therefore all the authority, rights and liberties afforded Him in His relationship with the Lord, gave Him the victory over all of the enemies. The seven sons of Sceva are a prime example of our failure to be active in our desire for a real relationship with the Lord Yeshua. Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. He even gives us a road map of what He desires out of us in the beatitudes in Matthew 5:1-11   5 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. I truly believe that this is how we seek His face and not His hand.

If you do not know the Lord Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Let me introduce you to Him. It is really simple.

The Imortance of a Prayer Closet

The Importance of a Prayer Closet

Hello and welcome to My Little House of Prayer. I am your host Dayla Smith. What a wonderful time to live in. We are living in the last days. We are so much further into the last days than any of the apostles that lived in Jesus Christ’ day. Let’s open in prayer.

I want to read Matthew chapter 6 with you. Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.11 Give us this day our daily bread.12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

This subject is and always has been my favorite. Looking back, I realize that the call to prayer and a true relationship with the one true and living God, is the first awesome gift. I didn’t see the work that He was doing and calling me to until I gave the testimony concerning My Little House of Prayer. Man, I can say that my walk has truly paved in His Glory!!! I can’t express or define the wonderful work He has done in me. But, He could not have accomplished it without my cooperation with the Holy Spirit. You see, we desperately need to cooperate with the Holy Spirit. We have no redemptive power in us alone. But, if we are obedient to the Spirit of God, who holds all redemptive power, we can accomplish much in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I want to share a few of the many testimonies of the things He has taught me along the way.

The first kind of prayer the Lord wanted to teach me was the call to intercession. To me this is the greatest kind of prayer. But, you will hear me say this about each kind of prayer. Because, prayer opens the door to a relationship with the LORD. Prayer is a call to draw near to the one true and living God. Intercessory prayer is where the Lord will move on your heart to pray for others. Why not? He is always making intercession for us. Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Look at

Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

The Lord Jesus Christ was, is, and always will be interceding on our behalf. That we run the race gloriously. How do we do this? By reading our bible from front to back. Learning by His example how to navigate our walk in this world. Intercessory prayer is one way to train your spiritual ears to hear His voice. Because, you are no longer thinking of yourself but of someone else waiting to hear the voice of the Lord on how to pray. Get a prayer journal so that you can record the request. You can go into as much detail as you like. Date it. Then when it is manifested, you can add the date of the manifested answer.

Now, the Lord will only reveal only what He knows He can trust you with. Karen Mosely shared the story of David and Johnathan. Jonathan stripped himself of all of His defenses before David. At that moment, Jonathan was vulnerable to David. If David meant to harm him, he had the upper hand. Jonathan gave all of his defenses to David. She asked the question, “Can the Lord trust you with all of His secrets? Can He become completely vulnerable to you?” I'll tell you what. This woke up a desire in my heart to be that kind of person. That He could trust me completely. This is still my desire. That I am available or on call 24/7 to Him and that He can trust me with His secrets as I watch Him perform one miracle after another in others lives. This is the most greatest gift He could give me. That kind of relationship. And, believe you me, this doesn’t always go well with others. They don’t realize just how much that you are responsible for the truth you know. Not just His Words, but also His secrets. If He keeps ours, we are called to keep His.

The next thing He taught me was the need for corporate prayer. We need each other. There are so many things that take place in corporate prayer. Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Psalm 133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

The Lord has been impressing upon me more and more the need for the brotherhood of the Lord Jesus Christ to come together in corporate prayer. To gather under His banner of love. To pull together. We need to gather together at every opportunity in corporate prayer as we are in the last days. As we gather together and pray for one another according to James 5:16 we draw strength in His name. Even King Solomon, in all of the Lord’s wisdom, said this. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12   9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Are you seeing what I have learned and am hearing?

While He was teaching me about intercessory and corporate prayer, He began to teach me about warfare. The first scripture that the Lord gave me was this, Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. In other words, this walk is a constant fight. Both in the natural and spiritual realm. Jesus Christ proved that when He was led by the Spirit of God into the wilderness fasting and praying. It is also in this that I learned my desperate need for fasting and praying. It improves your hearing in the spiritual realm. It is a chance to draw near to God. There are way too many testimonies in this area. I have seen so many miracles. But,that is not what is so important. What is the most important is that it is in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, that we have the victory. We are no match for satan and his cohorts. But, we have a big brother that has already won the war. Jesus Christ of Nazareth! We need to know who we are in Christ! We have to have an absolute faith and belief in the Word of God.

Here is a small testimony. I believe this is proof of the power of the prayer language that the Lord has given us. Why else would the enemy fight us so hard to get us not to want it or receive it? I was born again with the gift of tongues in the Holy Spirit. I had a friend who had bought a really old home. The recent owner fought with depression and was not a born again believer. So, the house was filled with the oppression of demonic spirits. It was really thick in the master bedroom. I immediately picked up on this through the Holy Spirit. So, one night I offered to come in agreement with the owner and pray throughout the home. I did this with full faith that the Lord was in full control and it was the Lord who wanted to clean up the home. I knew that the battle was in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. So, that is how I prayed. The Holy Spirit said to just stay in my prayer language. That the Lord God Almighty would do all of the fighting for us.

Well a few days later, another brother in the Lord who also was a prayer warrior, also came to the home. He came to clean the home spiritually. He walked throughout the home with a funny look on His face. When he got to the master bedroom his eyes popped out of his head. He turned to the new owner and said, “I don’t know who the person is, but they are very young in the Lord. They prayed in the name of the Lord. They have a lot of faith. This kind of faith cleared out your home. Most of the house wasn’t that hard to clear out. But it is in the Master bedroom where the fight was the hardest. But their faith cleared even the ruling spirits out of there! Whoever this person is, they have unsurmountable faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.” So, you see, we have to have a relationship in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 6:10-18    10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

So, what is the importance of having a prayer closet? There are so many scriptures concerning the need for a prayer closet. This is the question that was presented to me. “Are you seeing things happen in your prayer life? How much devotion of your time do you give to Him? Are you desiring His presence to the point of giving him thanksgiving, praise, and worship to Him? I mean He is the creator of the universe, even your creator. He breathed His breath of life in you. When pressured, is there enough evidence that you are a Christian to  convict you?”

Me being a brand new Christian, this rocked my thought life. Luke 7:47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. You see, in my mind's eye, there were a lot of my sins that needed His great blood of forgiveness. I owed a debt I could not pay. Yet, this awesome beloved Savior paid the price that I could never repay. Twenty-nine years later I still look at my relationship to Him in this light. Does this question hit you like a ton of bricks like it does me even now?

1 John 5:13-15    13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

I hope this sparks a desire in your hearts to want to fellowhip with Him in your prayer closet. The quiet place where you and your savior meet to speak with each other. Where you see your prayers answered. Where you go to have a relationship with a living God that loves each and every one of us.

If you do not know the Lord Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Let me introduce you to Him. It is really simple.
